Gridding

Contours are generated by interpolating point values onto the grid nodes. This is achieved by some gridding methods.

Gridding methods include Inverse Distance, Kriging (Block Kriging), Minimum CurvatureSystem of linear equations and Triangulation.

Choose the gridding method in the Objects | Gridding Methods dialog (there you can change the default options for specified method) or in the combo bars on the toolbar.

The program set values along the map border if the border value is assigned. Contours will be closed if the border value is assigned. By default, Contours terminate at the border.

The File | Save numerical data command writes the 2D array of interpolation results into a text file.
